What is a Bail Bond?
A monetary guarantee filed with the court whereby a defendant is temporarily placed in the custody of the posting Bondsmen. The Bondsmen assures the court that the defendant will go to court.
Who has custody of the Defendant when released?
The Bondsmen has custody of the defendant while he is on bail.
How much does posting bail cost?
10% - 15% of the bond is the standard premium. Usually on bonds over
$10,000.00 rate drops to 10%. Also note collateral may be required.
What are the requirements for an out of State co-signor?
Usually we require 50% to 100% collateral of face value of the bond depending on the qualifications of the co-signor. So if the bond is a $1,000.00 you will be required to put up $500.00 plus premium ($150.00).
Is collateral required on all Bonds?
Every case is different. On bigger bonds over $25,000 or more we always require collateral.
What do you take for Collateral?
We take Deeds of trust, vehicles, and other items can be discussed.
How do I determine equity for a home?
The best way is to have an appraisal done or your home or find out how much similar homes in your area are selling for. Market Value minus amount owed will give you a good idea of how much equity you have in your home. www.zillow.com also shows current sales in your area.
What happens if the person I bond out does not go to court?
The court will issue a warrant for the arrest of the defendant. Plus the co-signor is now responsible for the entire bond amount if defendant does not return to court in a timely fashion.
What happens if the defendant gets re-arrested?

What if I find out the person didn't go to court?
Call us immediately!!! Before you bond anyone out of jail make sure you can trust they will go to court - If not you are on the line for the entire bond amount.
Where do we meet to post the bond?
Usually we will meet wherever most convenient for you, however, there will be times we must meet at our office.
How long does it take for the defendant to be releases after bond is posted?
Usually between 4-8 hours however if the detention center is busy it could take up to 24 hours.
Will you guys call us once bond is posted?
Yes, we will notify you right away once we have posted the bond.
How do we find out the charges?
You can call the jail or have us call for you.
Are there any court cost when you post a bond?
Yes, usually as small as $10.00 on up to $100.00 depending on the county or jail.
Why are they different charges for bail agency?
Don't be misled, some bail agencies try to lure you in with extremely low rates if you qualify. This is just a technique to get you in the door and 9 times out of 10 nobody qualifies for lower rates. We strive on being honest and upfront - no hidden fees.
Can you guys refer an attorney?
Yes, but we can't refer just one with have to give you at least 3 referrals to make it fair.
What if we bail the person out and his case is dismissed. Do we still owe the premium?
Yes, we are hired to post bond for the defendant. Commission is earned once the defendant is released on a Bail Bond. Further, Bail Bond Companies cannot determine if the District Attorney is going to file a case or not. VIP Bail Bonds will verify with the Police Department or Jail if the defendant is going to be released without needing a bond.
